if you buy a mac, you can download the program "bootcamp" from apple's website, then install Windows OS and have that running on your mac. This will allow you to download ANY file or application that you previously would not have been able to open through Mac OS X. You will then essentially have a Windows operating PC on your mac. Just another reason to buy apple.

Another option for downloading .exe files is to simply do a google search or search on apple's website for a converter which will convert .exe formatted files into whatever format you like. This is the route I chose to take.

Get a mac, you will not be disappointed. I too was really worried about being able to do the things I had become accustomed to using my old PC. Let me tell you, everything has a mac version from browsers to p2p. You can play every kind of media format too. You just have to get a nack for the the new system first. Once your comfortable with it you can do nearly ever thing you did with a PC, except play video games. Hope it helps.

Go to the apple store and tell them what you like to do, and see what will work.
